I've had a significant amount of exposure to technology used in an educational setting, as I am a product of the public school system. While I have experience with basic technologies such as microsoft word, powerpoint, excel, spreadsheets, etc., I do not consider myself "tech savvy". Learning new technology is not intuitive to me and does not come easy for me. I do not have a passion or particular interest in learning new advanced technology. However, I do have a passion for young people and for teaching, and I know that in order to make an effective future educator in this technological world we live in, I need to have more of an in depth understanding of technologies. I believe this would make me a more effective teacher in the future. In this course, I hope to learn efficient ways to use technology in educational settings.
