Adaptive technologies allow teachers to support all different kinds of learners in the classroom. There are many forms of adaptive technology from online personalized learning programs, to cooperative programs like Diigo and Google Docs, to new technology such as 3D pens and smart boards. The development of these adaptive technologies allows students to learn any which way they can best (whether they are kinesthetic, auditory, or visual learners). I have used some adaptive technologies before, as I am sure many people have. The thing is, everyone uses ones that work best for them and they use them in different ways, so although most people have experience with adaptive technology of some type, everyone's experience is a little bit different. Along with all types of technology, adaptive technology in the classroom poses a distraction for students.
